Meanwhile, North Korea, like everywhere else around the world, also appears to be practicing social distancing. The North's Korean Central News Agency today showed its leader Kim Jong-un visiting his father and former leader Kim Jong-il's mausoleum and paying tribute at the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun to mark the ninth anniversary of his death. Accompanied by his sister, Kim Yo-jong, he was accompanied by some 20 of his close aides including Choe Ryong-hae, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and Ri Pyong-chol, vice chairman of the Central Comittee of the Workers' Party. Unlike previous year, there was no massive public event amid an ongoing campaign against the coronavirus.
