The north Indian states of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, including national capital Delhi, are likely to see a further dip in the temperature on account of snowfall in the higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir. Icy winds blowing from the snow-laden Himalayas have brought the mercury in the plains down with people shivering in intense cold.

दिल्ली समेत पूरे उत्तर भारत में मौसम ने मिजाज बदल लिया है. उत्तर भारत में शीतलहर का प्रकोप जारी है। उत्तर प्रदेश के कुछ हिस्सों में हल्की बारिश हुई. इसके अलावा राज्य के पश्चिमी हिस्से के कुछ इलाके घने कोहरे की चपेट में हैं.जम्मू कश्मीर में भी बर्फ और बारिश का दौर जारी है. जिसके कारण देश के ज्यादातर हिस्सों में ठंड पड़ने लगी है। ऊंचे पहाड़ी इलाकों में बर्फबारी और बारिश का सिलसिला जारी है. जिसकी वजह से मैदानी इलाकों में तापमान नीचे गिरा है और कहीं-कहीं घना कोहरा देखने को मिल रहा है.
