InsideSport reached out to some of the stakeholders to check their reaction on the development. Out of 8 IPL franchises, InsideSport spoke to management of 3 franchises and all 3 were of the view that such a move should not be made for the next IPL in 2021. According to them, this not only hurt their interests but time is not right for IPL to absorb someone else soon.

बीते कुछ दिनों से लगातार ये बातें चल रही है कि आईपीएल में 9वीं टीम की एंट्री होने वाली है. हालांकि, पिछले साल से ही ये हवाइयां उड़ रही थी कि 9वीं टीम आ सकती है. पर आईपीएल 2020 के सफल आयोजन के बाद चर्चा थोड़ी तेज हो गयी है. कहा ये जा रहा है कि इस साल अब मेगा ऑक्शन होगा. सभी खिलाड़ी नीलामी में उतरेंगे और इसके बाद नए खिलाड़ियों को टीम में शामिल किया जाएगा. इसी मेगा ऑक्शन में एक नयी टीम एंट्री मारेगी. इन खबरों के बाद क्रिकेट फैंस काफी खुश हैं लेकिन कुछ आईपीएल टीमें बीसीसीआई के इस कदम से खुश नहीं दिखाई दे रही हैं.
