Downside risks high for S. Korea's economy following resurgence of COVID-19 in Europe: KDI

The Korea Development Institute has given a pessimistic outlook for the country's economy.
In its November monthly report, the state-run think tank said the service sector remains sluggish, despite a mild recovery in manufacturing.
The KDI also predicted high downside risks to the local economy... following partial lockdowns in Europe.
Since the economic recovery has centered around exports in manufacturing goods, a resurgence of COVID-19 cases in Europe is expected to hurt the South Korean economy.
