Donald Trump Refuses
to Participate in ‘Ridiculous’
Virtual Debate.
The Commission on Presidential Debates has
decided that the Oct. 15 debate between Donald Trump
and Joe Biden will not be held in person. .
In a statement released Thursday,
the Commission said the decision to host
a virtual debate was being made to
“protect the health and safety of all involved.” .
Shortly after the announcement,
Trump dismissed the plan in a
television interview with Fox Business.
According to Trump, who tested positive
for COVID-19 last week, a remote debate
is a "waste" of time and “ridiculous.” .

is all about … You sit behind a computer
and do a debate — it’s ridiculous,

of seeking to protect Biden, although

released a statement, seemingly
accepting the virtual format. .
