Eid-Ul-Adha: Celebrations Begin, Azam Khan, Mukhtar Naqvi Offer Namaz, Drones Used For Security

Devotees thronged mosques to offer prayers on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. People were seen offering ‘namaz’ at Delhi’s Jama Masjid on August 12. On this auspicious occasion, Muslims offer prayers at the mosque, sacrifice goats, wear new clothes and greet each other. Later, the Muslim families feast on the goat’s meat and also distribute it to the poor and needy people. Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam Khan offered ‘namaz’ at Idgah in UP’s Rampur on August 12. Former vice president Mohammad Hamid Ansari was also seen on his way to offer ‘namaz’ on the auspicious occasion. Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi offered ‘namaz’ at Panja Sharif Dargah at Kashmiri Gate. Meanwhile, to keep a tab on the security scenario of the devotees, security personnel were deployed and drones were also used for security surveillance at Shah Jamal Eidgah in Aligarh, UP.
