Lockdown Rules In Phase 2 Of Shutdown: What Will Open Up & What Remains Shut In India?

A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the lockdown in India would be extended until May 3, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Wednesday, April 15 issued a revised list of guidelines for this phase of the lockdown. The Home Ministry stated that selected activities, including fisheries, enhanced animal husbandry and MNREGA works would be permitted post April 20 in districts which are not COVID-19 hotspots. Agriculture and related activities have been totally exempted from the lockdown as they fall under essential services.
