AP 이안 필립스 기자 대담 : 미 대선 당일 현지 상황과 전망

It's a little past 5PM in New York, many Americans are in their final hours of voting to elect the leader of the country for the next four years, President Trump or Democratic opponent Joe Biden.
Now this year's Presidential elections come amid special circumstances, the COVID-19 pandemic.
And because of this, we've been seeing early voting figures hit record highs over the past weeks.
For more on the latest situation in the U.S., we will be connecting live to Ian Phillips, the vice-president of the international news division at the Associated Press.
Before we proceed with our connection, we ask for your patience, as we are expecting some delays during the connection.
Now, lets connect to Ian Phillips who is live in New York for us. Ian, we're hearing the early voter turnout surpassed the 100 million mark. Tell us, how is this significant compared to the 2016 Presidential elections? and which groups of voters were dominant in the voting?
-Voter turnout ( early votes , actual vote count)
-Did the total votes (as of the moment) near/surpass 130 million votes posted in 2016 elections?
-What was the age group/race/ of the majority of voters?
This year's election has been garnering worldwide attention, especially with the two candidates clearly differing in their perspectives on COVID-19. Did the candidates make any special remarks over the day? How is the atmosphere over there?
-Were the voters following social-distancing guidelines over the day?
-Any signs of unrest in the streets?
-Did the candidates make any special remarks?
-Concerns Trump could prematurely declare victory - how do you expect things to flow
Do we have any exit poll results? When will we be able to find out who wins?
-Why vote counting is taking longer than before?
-Attack on Mail-in ballots
Well I'm afraid that's all the time we have, that was Ian Phillips, vice-president of the international news division at the Associated Press reporting in New York. Thank you Ian.
