Arirang TV documentary honored at Korea Cable TV Awards

The Korea Cable TV Awards has given its top honors this year in the documentary category to a production by Arirang TV titled "Beyond Confrontation"... about relations between South Korea and Japan.
The awards are given out by the Korean Cable Television Association for outstanding programs that aired last year.
The documentary presents the views of Japanese experts on the trade war between Seoul and Tokyo that started last year after Japan started restricting exports to South Korea in retaliation for a court ordering a Japanese company to compensate the Koreans it subjected to wartime forced labor.
The producer, Park Se-kyung, explained that the film aimed to present the thoughts of the Japanese people in order to resolve the conflict.
