A man from Swat’s Bahrain risked his life to rescue a stray dog stuck under the debris of a house that had collapsed during the flash floods that hit the district following heavy rains. Video of the rescue operation by the brave man has gone viral. At first, people in the video can be heard warning Afsar Khan to not risk his life but when he grabs the dog and heads back, the crowd applauds and cheers the brave man. Northern areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been hit by floods that have caused massive destruction in the province. Swat valley is one of the most affected areas by the floods where several houses have been destroyed and many reported to be drowned. Fields, bridges, and electricity poles have been destroyed by the fast-flowing currents of the water. Meanwhile, Karachi, a sprawling metropolis of more than 20 million people, was one of the worst-hit by the urban flooding.
