The Government of Kerala, after much speculation, has confirmed that a 23 year old has been infected by the Nipah Virus. The disease that spreads through fruit bats had killed 17 people last year in the state. Kerala is on high alert and the state minister has made elaborate arrangements to tackle any emergencies.
