BLACKPINK's Lisa Is the newest global ambassador of MAC Cosmetics
BLACKPINK's Lisa is on a roll! After being announced as the global ambassador of Celine, the South Korean girl group's charismatic main dancer and rapper is taking over as the face of yet another iconic brand-this time, a beauty giant!
This October 19, Canadian cosmetics brand MAC Cosmetics has officially unveiled Lisa Manoban as their newest global ambassador. She's the first female K-pop idol to be given this title, her male counterpart being Chinese solo artist and EXO member Lay Zhang, whose appointment was announced back in July.
The partnership couldn't be any more fitting, as Lisa admits that she's always been a big fan of MAC. "I like how the brand turns makeup into a form of self-expression, which always gives me great confidence on stage," she says.
Choosing the 23-year-old Thai-born star as their ambassador was a no-brainer for the beauty brand either. Senior Vice President and Global Creative Director Drew Elliot tells Preview that her "unparalleled talent and bold, trend-setting presence in fashion and beauty" make her the perfect muse for the brand, and that she was absolute dream to work with on set. "Not only is she incredibly sweet and down to earth, she embodies an aesthetically fierce yet approachable style that truly resonates with MAC's DNA [that] we're so proud to bring to life through this campaign," he continues.
With this new partnership, Lisa will be the muse for the brand's future collections and campaigns. And to give you a sneak peek on what's to come, MAC gave Preview an exclusive first look at her first official image as global ambassador.

What was your first ever MAC product?
Lisa: The first MAC product I used was a lip product. I'm still a huge fan of MAC's lip projects and love playing around with the countless number of colors and textures to choose from to help perfect my look.
When did you realize your love for makeup? What about it do you love?
Lisa: Since I was a little girl, I have always been interested in makeup and fashion. But if I had to say the time I officially fell in love with makeup, I would say that was after my debut. When we release a new album or when I'm on set for a magazine, I enjoy suggesting a makeup look that I've always wanted to try.
Any beauty routine/regimen you want to share?
Lisa: I usually enjoy natural makeup. I like to start with a simple base and finish with a slightly bolder lip color to add some vibrance. Especially for lip makeup, I like to make an ombre lip that naturally gradates by tapping from the center of my lips!
You left home at a young age and life in show business has not always been easy. What is your drive throughout all these years?
