Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli became the fifth player in Indian Premier League (IPL) history to smash 200 sixes, on Sunday during the league match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Kohli is further only the third Indian to achieve this distinction. The 31-year-old reached the milestone in the 17th over of the first innings, after RCB won the toss and opted to bat. Kohli smashed all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja into the sightscreen after coming down the track, making sure he had enough room to generate proper contact.

चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स के खिलाफ विराट कोहली ने बड़ा रिकॉर्ड कायम किया है. विराट कोहली ने आईपीएल में अपने 200 छक्के पूरे कर लिए हैं. इससे पहले विराट कोहली ने आईपीएल इतिहास में 500 चौके भी लगाए थे. दोनों न मिलाकर, ऐसा करने वाले कोहली पहले बल्लेबाज बने हैं. यानि कि आईपीएल में 500 चौके और 200 छक्के इससे पहले किसी ने लगाए हैं. सीएसके के खिलाफ विराट कोहली ने इस मैच में 43 गेंदों पर एक चौका व एक छक्के की मदद से 50 रन बनाए. इसके साथ ही वो सीएसके के खिलाफ इस लीग में 50 या इससे ज्यादा रन बनाने के मामले में पहले स्थान पर आ गए. उन्होंने रोहित शर्मा को पीछे छोड़ दिया जिन्होंने एम एस धौनी की टीम के खिलाफ आइपीएल में 50 या इससे ज्यादा का स्कोर बनाने का कमाल 7-7 बार किया है.
