On one hand, Uttar Pradesh government is trying to provide 24-hour power to electricity consumers, on the other hand UPPCL has released astonishing figures. According to the data, there are more than 38 percent of electricity consumers who have not deposited electricity bill from the date of connection, the amount to be recovered from consumers is about 68 thousand crores.

एक तरफ तो उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार बिजली उपभोक्ताओं को 24 घंटे बिजली मुहैया कराने की कोशिश कर रही है, तो दूसरी तरफ UPPCL ने चौंकाने वाले आंकड़े जारी किए हैं. आंकड़ों के मुताबिक 38 फीसद से ज्यादा ऐसे बिजली उपभोक्ता हैं जिन्होंने कनेक्शन की तारीख से बिजली का बिल जमा नहीं किया,UPPCL के अध्यक्ष और अतिरिक्त मुख्य सचिव अरविंद कुमार के ट्वीट कर बताया कि कुल 2.83 करोड़ उपभोक्ताओं में से 1.09 करोड़ उपभोक्ताओं ने कभी बिजली का बिल नहीं दिया.उपभोक्ताओं से वसूली जाने वाली राशि करीब 68 हजार करोड़ है.
