A Bharatiya Janata Party leader on Thursday tweeted that late Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa’s close aide VK Sasikala will likely be released from a prison in Bengaluru on August 14, 2010.Currently serving a four-year sentence, Sasikala had surrendered before the prison authorities on February 15, 2017, a day after the Supreme Court upheld her September 2014 conviction in a disproportionate assets case by a trial court in Bengaluru.AIADMK sources says Sasikala’s release will trigger political churn in State,AIADMK ministers are afraid what might happen after the release of Sasikala, who will be the next CM after sasikala release.
The arrest and custodial deaths of father and son Jayaraj and Bennix in Sathankulam of Tamil Nadu’s Tuticorin district has sparked off dialogue and outrage across the country.Tuticorin Lok Sabha MP and DMK’s Women’s Wing secretary Kanimozhi was among the first of political leaders to travel to Sathankulam and reach out to the family of the victims.
Even some seniors admitted that the DMK president’s son’s visit was untimely and even if done with good intention, it would only be construed as an attempt to steal the attention his aunt and Thoothukudi MP Kanimozhi has been garnering since last week. It has led party insiders to speculate if Stalin junior was growing envious and attempting to negate the growth of his aunt.
