India has been witnessing a spike in the coronavirus cases for the last few days ever since the government eased certain restrictions after nearly two months of lockdown to tackle the pandemic India on Saturday jumped to the sixth position among 10 countries worst-hit by the novel coronavirus across the globe.The number of corona cases in India has crossed Italy country.
The Centre has identified seven cities which are the source of most of the cases in India.Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Chennai, indore,Pune, Kolkata
*Till morning, Mumbai had 59,293 coronavirus cases and 30,125 patients have recovered so far.
*Gujarat has 0.33 hospital beds per 1,000 population as against the national average of 0.55 beds per 1,000. Among the large states, only Bihar has a worse ratio.
In Gujarat's Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, wards for coronavirus patients and suspected cases have been divided on the basis of religion.
