A three-judge Bench of the Supreme Court on may 26 said there have been “inadequacies and certain lapses” on the part of the Central and State governments in dealing with the migrant workers crisis during the lockdown.
The court ordered the Centre and the States to immediately provide transport, food and shelter free of cost to the stranded migrant workers.
Recently, Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Nandkishor Gurjar had filed an FIR against actor and producer Anushka for using his picture in the web series without his consent. In addition to this, the MLA also wrote a letter to Prakash Javdekar, Minister of Information and Broadcasting to ban the streaming of the web series.
KA Sengottaiyan had, earlier on Wednesday, told the reporters that the Director of School Education had sent a circular, warning schools of strict action if they commence online classes for students.However, within minutes from making this statement, the minister called the media houses and issued a clarification stating that the prohibition is not for online classes per se, but for making teachers come to school to conduct such online classes.
