During Jayalalithaa's period Namadhu MGR and Jaya TV was the official paper and channel for them, but after the dismiss of Jayalalithaa everything has changed upside down and ADMK's official channel was changed and none of the govt happenings are being covered by Jaya TV. EPS and OPS decided to create a separate news channel and Channel namely News J and Puratchi Thalaivi amma nalithazh. They decided to start this channel and paper to run their political happenings.
