Former journalist Ranjeni Munusamy’s new job has been met with criticism. Munusamy is now part of Finance Minister Tito Mboweni’s team at Treasury. A cloud hangs over the former Sunday Times and Daily Maverick journalist after she was implicated at the state capture inquiry. Her new gig was revealed when Mboweni tweeted a picture of her in a meeting. It's understood she’s part of his speech-writing team, ahead of the medium-term budget policy statement.
