Veteran Maharashtra BJP leader Eknath Khadse will join the NCP this Friday ending days of speculation around his recent flirtations with the Sharad Pawar-led outfit.
Khadse had to resign as cabinet minister from the Devendra Fadnavis-led BJP government in Maharashtra in 2016 over allegations of graft and was later denied a ticket to run for Assembly election. NCP leader and state minister Jayant Patil on Wednesday said that Khadse had resigned from the BJP and would be joining the NCP soon.

बीजेपी को महाराष्ट्र में बड़ा झटका लगा है. पार्टी के दिग्गज नेता और पूर्व मंत्री एकनाथ खडसे शुक्रवार को एनसीपी में शामिल होंगे. पार्टी छोड़ने के फैसले पर एकनाथ खडसे ने कहा कि वो 23 तारीख को एनसीपी ज्वाइन करेंगे. जो मेरे खिलाफ भ्रष्टाचार के आरोप लगे थे, उसमें कुछ साबित नहीं हुआ. मुझे एक नेता के द्वारा परेशान किया गया, लेकिन पार्टी में मुझे न्याय नहीं मिला. ऐसा माना जा रहा है कि एनसीपी नेताओं और एकनाथ खडसे के बीच पिछले कुछ दिनों से बात चल रही थी.
