17 people and institutions, including universities and businesses, have filed a case against the US Department of Labor in the District Court of District of Columbia against the US H-1B visa-related new pay rules. It has been alleged that the interim rules have been applied in an irregular manner and the procedure laid down in it was not followed. A of the interim rule has been termed as irrational. Critics believe that this has reduced the salary range of some professionals. Also it will affect the economy recovery.
