India rejects China's "unilateral" claim on LAC.
India and China on September 29 continued to raise mutual accusations regarding border tensions between the two sides, with New Delhi announcing the Real Control Line (LAC) definition that China introduced. is "unacceptable," while Beijing says "does not recognize" the Ladakh federal territory.

“India has never accepted the so-called Reality Control Line (LAC), which China unilaterally delineated in 1959. This view is consistent and recognized by the world, including the Chinese side. State, ”declared the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India (MEA).

Previously, in response to a question from the Hindustan Times newspaper, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Uong Van Ban said that the country complies with the LAC line, which was previously Chinese Prime Minister Zhou Enlai and Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal. Nehru mentioned in the letter on November 7, 1959.

India's Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement also reiterates a series of border agreements that the two sides have previously reached, including the 1993 Agreement on Maintaining Peace and Peace along the LAC, the 1996 Treaty on Confidence-building measures (CBMs) and 2005 Agreement on political consultation and guiding principles to resolve border issues.

India also emphasized that in fact, both sides participated in exchanging and making commitments to reach a common understanding of the LAC road issue, but this process could not continue because the Chinese side "appeared superficial. ". And China's insistence that there is only one LAC is contrary to the official commitments it made in the signed bilateral agreements.

“It is the Chinese side that tries to unilaterally change the status quo ... Therefore, we expect that the Chinese side will abide by all agreements and common perception, not towards a single discernment. to LAC ", said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India.

On the Beijing side, when answering questions about India's border infrastructure projects in Ladakh, China's Foreign Ministry spokesman said on September 29 that he did not "recognize" the Ladakh federal territory. At the same time, he objected to India's establishment of the area, since it included Aksai Chin - part of the territory claimed by Beijing.

“China does not recognize India's illegal establishment of the Ladakh federal territory. We oppose the development of infrastructure for military purposes in the border area. Based on the consensus of the two sides, neither side can conduct any activities at the border to complicate the situation, to avoid undermining the efforts of both sides and cooling tensions ”, the Foreign Ministry spokesman.
