Pillay's retirement saved money

Pravin Gordhan's legal team says the early retirement of former SARS deputy commissioner, Ivan Pillay, saved the fiscus money. But Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane wants Gordhan criminally charged for approving the retirement. He was finance minister at the time. Gordhan wants Mkhwebane's report on the matter set aside, and their legal teams are battling it out in the North Gauteng High Court.
