A week after it walked out of the Narendra Modi government, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Saturday decided to quit the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) over the three farm bills that it says are not in the interest of farmers. President of SAD Sukhbir Singh Badal said, We decided to pull out of BJP-led NDA alliance because of the Centre's stubborn refusal to give statutory legislative guarantees to protect assured marketing of farmers crops on MSP.
