China threatens to retaliate against America for ban on TikTok, WeChat.
China's Ministry of Commerce criticized the US decision to ban TikTok and WeChat, warning of a willingness to respond to protect domestic companies.

The response came after it emerged that Washington plans to ban US users from downloading WeChat and TikTok apps from September 20. Sources familiar with the US TikTok download ban may still be canceled by President Donald Trump before it comes into effect over the weekend on the condition that ByteDance owners must reach an agreement on US operations.
