Three farm bills that the Narendra Modi government has brought to replace three Ordinances in the Monsoon Session of Parliament have become a bone of contention within the ruling alliance. As the government seeks to get Parliament's approval for the three bills, BJP's oldest ally the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has decided to move out of the government protesting the legislations.
