Hong Kong’s two-week programme of mass testing for Covid-19 ended on September 14, 2020. A total of 1.78 million people were tested under the free screening scheme, which aimed to identify silent carriers of the coronavirus that causes the disease. Health officials said the programme uncovered at least 42 new infections.
