The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa has written an open letter to the president to address what it calls the devastating effects of COVID-19 on nurses. Frontline workers say they need wage increases and a risk allowance. DENOSA President, Simon Hlungwani says nurses are demotivated as they also have to work longer hours, while being at risk of getting infected with the Coronavirus.
