Roads flooded after heavy rain in Vientiane, Laos
  • 4 years ago
Roads were flooded following heavy rain in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, today (September 10).

Residents woke up the deluge with thunder and lightning crashing overhead in the under-developed, communist republic.

Footage shows how flash floods filled the roads with rain water as residents battled through the deluge.

Laos and other countries in Southeast Asia such as Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, as well as China and Japan in the Far East, are at the peak of the annual rainy season, that sees regular tropical storms until cooler weather arrives towards the late October.
