Thousands of protesters gathered outside the parliament in Sofia, Bulgaria on Wednesday (September 2) calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.

Footage shows police and protesters in a standoff outside the parliament.

Scuffles later erupted and more than 60 demonstrators were arrested.

Demonstrators accuse Borissov and Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev of failing to fight the corruption.
