Horse rescued after falling into open manhole in northern India

A horse that fell into an open manhole at Hapur Adda crossing in Meerut, northern India was rescued by police with the help of locals on September 1.

Footage shows the moment a large crowd pulling the animal out using heavy-duty ropes and cover the manhole with rocks to prevent further incidents.

The rescue operation took one hour, and the horse was bathed before being released, local media reported.
