Ben Stokes's father Gerard has now revealed that he was diagnosed with the illness back in January this year. England allrounder Ben Stokes pulled out of the Pakistan Test series midway in order to be with his family in New Zealand, after his father's cancer diagnosis left him mentally disturbed. Stokes has admitted his 'head wasn't really in it' after learning of his father's conditions and received an indefinite compassionate leave from the ECB, enabling the star all-rounder to attend to his father.
