A majority of businesses in South Africa have been responding to the COVID-19 pandemic by cutting annual increases, freezing appointments and delaying bonuses. This Research was done by Willis Towers Watson, involving over 200 local companies. Most alarming is that almost half of these businesses plan to retrench staff.
