Gudwara Council Malaysia president, Sardar Jagir Singh said the amendments to raise the punishment limits for Syariah courts will see creation of three hudud offences which will be punishable by Syariah laws.
He said these hudud offences include premarital sex, qazaf and drinking intoxicating drinks
He said this at a forum discussing PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang Private Member’s Bill to amend the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965.
