लगातार हो रही बारिश के चलते देश के कई राज्य बाढ़ की चपेट में है. उत्तराखंड में भी बारिश आफत बनी हुई है.पहाड़ों में हर जगह भारी बारिश और भूस्खलन से तबाही जैसा मंजर है, तो यहां के मैदानी इलाकों में नदी नाले उफान पर हैं, जिनका पानी लोगों के घरों में घुस रहा है, सड़कें पानी में डूब रही हैं. मूसलाधार बारिश के बाद पहाड़ दरक रहे हैं. गंगा का जलस्तर खतरे के निशान से ऊपर चला गया है.
