India’s newly-acquired five Rafale fighters are practising night flying in the mountainous terrain of Himachal Pradesh so that the Golden Arrows squadron with its Meteor beyond visual range air-to-air missile and SCALP air-to-ground stand-off weapon will be ready if the situation deteriorates on the 1,597 km-long Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Ladakh sector, people familiar with the matter said.

भारत में राफेल लड़ाकू विमानों ने जंग की तैयारी शुरू कर दी है। फिलहाल राफेल रा हिमाचल प्रदेश की बर्फीली वादियों में रात के वक्‍त अभ्‍यास चल रहा है। पहाड़ों के बीच कठिन रास्‍तों में उनका ये अभ्‍यास पूर्वी लद्दाख में चीन और कश्‍मीर में पाकिस्‍तान से लड़ाई के हालात में बेहद काम आएगा। यहां हिमालय की चोटियों की टेरेन वहां से काफी हद तक मिलती-जुलती है। हिंदुस्‍तान टाइम्‍स में छपी खबर के अनुसार, अगर लद्दाख सेक्‍टर में चीन से लगी सीमा पर हालात बिगड़ते हैं तो राफेल अपनी Meteor और SCALP मिसाइलों के साथ हमला करने को एकदम तैयार रहेंगे।
