Baby sea lion plays with mother at Berlin Zoo

A baby sea lion frolics in its zoo enclosure with its mum after visitors voted to name the cute pup Roland. The pup was born at Berlin Zoo, the country’s oldest and best known zoo, in the German capital Berlin on 21st June. In the footage shared on Berlin Zoo’s Facebook page, the little sea lion is seen playing in its enclosure with its mum. Zoo spokesperson Cynthia told Real Press that the cute youngster is a Californian sea lion (Zalophus californianus) and was christened Roland after staff launched an online contest and received over 1,000 suggestions for names.
