The nominee to be South Korea's next unification minister has vowed to push ahead with bold reforms at the ministry.
He says they'll be changes the South Korean people can believe in, the U.S. can trust in and reforms that can facilitate the resumption of talks with North Korea.
In an interview Tuesday, Lee In-young said resuming talks with the North is his priority and he plans to promote humanitarian cooperation.
He said he plans to push for more war-separated family reunions at Mount Geumgang or Panmunjeom, adding that for many it will be their last chance to meet their loved ones across the border.
