Nairobi Senator Johnston Sakaja has presented himself at the DCI Kilimani after being on the run since Saturday. Sakaja who has since resigned as the chair of the senate ad-hoc committee on covid19, was briefly held and released Saturday morning after he was arrested for flouting covid19 protocols after he was found drinking with friends at a bar in Kilimani at 1 am Saturday. His fate remains unclear after police hinted that he would be punished at the political level and not necessarily have to be taken to court tomorrow.
