Taiwan's military conducted a joint armed forces exercise near the city of Taichung on July 2, 2020, simulating their response to an attempted landing by mainland Chinese forces. The self-ruled island’s military practised deploying in response to potential attacks across the Taiwan Strait by sea, land and air.
