Taiwan’s military conducted live-fire exercises on July 16, 2020, simulating defence against a coastal attack. The exercises were part of the five-day annual Han Kuang drills that end on July 17. This year’s exercises take place as mainland China steps up military activity in waters around the self-ruled island.
