Heartbreaking moment boy, 4, grieves for pet dog killed by truck

This is the heartbreaking moment a boy grieves for his dead dog that was hit by a truck.
In the video, Jhon Axiel Salaum, 4, is seen crying while asking his mum to wake his pet dog named Rody.
A few minutes before the tragic scene, two-year-old Rody was hit by a truck that passed the front of their house in Cebu province, the Philippines on June 15.
Onlooker Mayuki Sanoria said the dog followed the boy's father outside when it went to work and tried to cross the road with the approaching truck.
She said: "The boy didn't stop crying when he saw his dog. I felt so sorry for him and his pet.
''There was nothing he could do to help and it was heartbreaking. He had raised the dog since it was a puppy.''
The boy's mother eventually convinced him to come home. The dog was later buried in the backyard of the boy's house.
