Homemade Granola and Granola Parfait
Granola is packed full of nutritional ingredients including whole rolled oats, puffed rice, rice flakes, nuts, seeds, dried fruits which are packed full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
The immune system can’t get enough of these wonderful little nutrients, so more you consume, the stronger the immune system becomes as a result.
When you search what are the healthy breakfast options to eat, you will get answers oats, berries, chia seeds, yoghurt. What if I tell you, all these are included in this recipe.
It is easy to make at home and also tastes awesome. It’s much cheaper than store bought ones which are mostly high on sugar.
Granola is one such thing that you can eat about anytime. It can be used as a quick travel snack. This is the perfect filling breakfast for your busy weekdays.
Have it with your milk, serve with favourite flavoured yogurt, add to your smoothies for that crunch.
If you want to stay fit and healthy, Granola is the perfect food.

Preparation time:- 15 mins
Cooking time:- 25 mins
Total time:- 40 mins
Makes :- 6 cups

Ingredients:
1 cup whole rolled oats
1/2 cup Puffed rice/ murmura
1/2 cup Rice flakes/ poha/ chura
1/2 cup Brown sugar/ jaggery powder
1/2 cup Desiccated coconut
1/2 tsp Cinnamon powder
1/4 cup Almonds
1/4 cup Pecans/ walnuts
1/4 cup Pumpkin seeds
1/4 cup sunflower seeds

1/4 cup Vegetable oil
1/4 cup Maple syrup/ Agave/ Molasses
3/4 tsp Salt
1 tsp Vanilla extract

1 tbsp Chia seeds
Handful of cranberries/ raisins/ dried mango
1 tsp Roasted flaxseed powder
Plain coconut yogurt/ Any flavoured yogurt

You can’t deny that it is actually a well balanced snack packed with fiber, good fats and energy from oats, nuts, dried fruits.
The hardest thing about this recipe is getting the baking time right. Everyone’s oven are different and granola needs quite some time bake. You have to stir in between once after 10-15 min. It took total 25 min to bake Granola in my oven.
