Serves:- 11-12 pieces


1 and 1/2 cup Whole wheat flour
1 cup Dark Brown sugar/ Jaggery/ white sugar
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp Baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup Cool water
1/3 cup/ 6 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp Vanilla extract/ essence

This is the recipe of delicious vegan chocolate cake made with whole wheat flour. This cake is Fragrant, moist, soft, spongy and chocolaty cake.

Not only doe this cake tastes good but it’s quite a bit healthier than other classic cake recipe.

The secret to achieving the light and spongy consistency in this cake is the reaction between the baking soda and lemon juice. These two ingredients work together to cause the cake to rise perfectly and give it the soft, moist, texture that we are looking for.

Before frosting, the cake is completely can also do a vegan frosting... but as my daughter loves Nutella, so I had to follow her order .

In this cake you replace can brown sugar with jaggery or white sugar and water with milk. You can add nuts too.

This cake tastes much like a brownie. Serve little warm with ice cream and to kids in snack time with a cup of milk.

Microwave method :-
For baking in convection mode of microwave, preheat the oven at 180 degrees for 15 minutes and then bake at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
Note:- Every oven setting is different. So keep a look after 20 minutes.
