We start with another example of North Korea's unpredictability.
The regime's leader Kim Jong-un has reportedly scrapped action plans against South Korea on this Wednesday.
According to its state-run mouthpiece on Wednesday, the Rodong Shinmun reported Kim held up the regime's military plans against Seoul during the preliminary Central Military Commission meeting of the ruling Workers' Party of Korea.
There's hope the move puts the brakes on the escalating tensions between the two Koreas.
This comes after Kim's sister, Kim Yo-jong, made clear last week that she "gave instructions to the arms of the department in charge of the affairs with enemy to decisively carry out the next action."
Under that guidance, the North Korean military said exactly a week ago that it will deploy troops to two joint economic projects with the South, the Mount Keumgang tourist area and the Kaeseong Industrial Zone.
We'll have more details in our later newscast.
