Federico Mompou - Cancion y Danza No. 3 (1926), An audio and visual study in Ashley (2020)

There are three parts of this video.
The first involves actress Ashley Judd's voice: a deconstruction and reassembly of replies she gave in an interview several years ago and a resulting audio collage. This is done to the "song" and opening of the "dance" portions of Mompou's Cancion y Danza No. 3.
The second part is a three-dimensional face and head I constructed of Ashley Judd's face and head a decade ago using a multitude of face and head photos from the same photo shoot that was available on the Internet at the time. I used different angles and expressions to create a short motion picture animation, giving the viewer an illusion of movement and natural expression in three dimensions. In this video I put the animation through a few color filters and gradually deconstruct it. In the background the "dance" portion of Mompou's Cancion y Danza No. 3 continues to play.
The third and final part is a "found" TV commercial of Ashley jogging and working out, promoting a step and calorie counter. Only Ashley footage is used, other actors are edited out. A woman watching the commercial can be heard asking a question and making comments and also slowing the motion of the TV down. I place this through a special filter I created using a special combination of several Windows Movie Maker features, a filter I have used in a few other videos in the past (such as Steppenwolf "The Pusher"). The filter works best for me using sepia but can be used with a fuller range of color, which is what I do in this video. In this part of the video the remainder of Mompou's Cancion y Danza No. 3 plays and ends.

"Cançons i danses (sing. Cançó i dansa - Catalan; English: Songs and Dances; each originally published singly under the Spanish title Canción y Danza ) is the title of a collection of 15 pieces by Federico Mompou, written between 1918 and 1972. All were written for the piano, except No. 13 for guitar and No. 15 for organ. Each piece consists of an introductory slow Cançó, followed by a more animated Dansa in a related key but not necessarily in the same time signature. They are mostly based on existing Catalan folk tunes, although some of them are original works. Each takes between 3 and 5 minutes to play."
