According to his campaign, the averageonline donation was $30 and more than halfof their May donors were new supporters. The campaign also reports they’ve tripled theirtotal number of donors since February, with educatorsmaking up a majority of supporters in May. In a message to his donors,Biden thanked them for theirwillingness to support himamid such "uncertainty." According to Real Clear Politics, Biden isup in the polls by just over seven points. Trump has faced heavy criticismover his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic,as well as his response to nationwide protestsagainst police brutality and systemic racism.
