The death of African-American George Floyd in the US on May 25, 2020, has triggered protests against racism and police brutality across the globe. In Asia, demonstrations continued over the weekend of June 13-14, in several cities where protesters angered by Floyd’s death in Minneapolis marched in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement.
