Twenty20 World Cup-winning West Indies captain Darren Sammy has slammed racism in sports and colourism in general. Saying the International Cricket Council needed to pay more attention to racism, Sammy said any word that degraded a Black person must be strongly condemned. A crusader for the Black Lives Matter campaign, Sammy said the history books are skewed towards the 'White' man. He feels the killing of George Floyd by policemen in the US was symbolic of how the poor and the coloured have been at the receiving end of people in power. An Outlook special
