BMW Motorrad India has teased the 2020 S 1000 XR adventure/sport tourer motorcycle ahead of its launch in India. The company has released a teaser image of the upcoming motorcycle on its social media platform. The 2020 S 1000 XR was showcased by the company at the 2019 EICMA last year.
The BMW S 1000 XR is powered by a 999cc four-cylinder engine. It produces a maximum power of 164bhp at 11,000rpm and a peak torque of 114Nm at 9,250rpm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with slip assisted clutch. The company claims that the new engine is tuned to provide a stronger performance than before between 3,000rpm and 10,000rpm range.
